Statistics released: Electricity consumption peaks in the evening

Yesterday, 1,097,735 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced daily in Turkey, while consumption was 1,081,298 megawatt-hours.
According to data from Türkiye Electricity Transmission Inc., the highest hourly electricity consumption yesterday was at 9:00 p.m. with 50,298 megawatt-hours, while the lowest consumption was at 7:00 a.m. with 37,023 megawatt-hours.
On a daily basis, 1,097,735 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced yesterday, while consumption was recorded as 1,081,298 megawatt-hours.
Natural gas power plants led the way in production with 29.6 percent, followed by imported coal power plants with 22.1 percent and solar power plants with 12.1 percent.
Yesterday, Türkiye exported 21,110 megawatt-hours of electricity and imported 4,673 megawatt-hours.
