Clarke, whose real name is Evre Başak Okumuş, married British citizen Philip Clarke in 2023. Her son Oscar was born that same year. However, the artist was diagnosed with metastatic bowel cancer. The disease had spread to her liver and lungs. Clarke announced that doctors gave her only three to four weeks to live.

Ekşi Sözlük and other platforms reported the allegations, claiming Clarke had removed her medical documentation. Many on X claimed Clarke had lied about her illness and labeled the campaign a "scam," claiming she wasn't actually ill.

His family announced his death

Clarke's family released a statement today from X. "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evre Başak Clarke," the statement read. The family stated that the artist spent the last three weeks with her loved ones.
