Trade dispute: Europe must stop being bullied by Donald Trump

Donald Trump is pulling out the big guns again. The US President is accusing the European Union of being responsible for America's huge trade deficit – and is threatening tariffs of 30 percent on European products. And how is the EU, the world's largest common market, responding? It is putting retaliatory tariffs against the US , which were due to take effect on Tuesday, on hold. And is presenting a new list of retaliatory tariffs, but only as a distant threat. The angry man in the White House will interpret this as weakness. Europe is allowing Donald Trump to belittle it – and simply take away its prosperity. A different strategy is needed.
