Social media phenomenon Taylan Özgüç Danyıldız, known by the pseudonym 'Testo Taylan', was detained last night on charges of assaulting a fan who wanted to take a photo with him.

According to Kocaeli Gündem, the family of Testo Taylan filed a complaint against him for assaulting a 13-year-old fan. Taylan was subsequently taken into custody in the Gulf District of Kocaeli last night. He was released after giving his statement.

It was alleged that Taylan did not stop attacking the child despite facing backlash from those around him. These claims sparked outrage on social media.

Testo Taylan said the following in his post on his Instagram account:

"For months, when I come home, they yell at me from outside. They curse at me, my family. I've warned them countless times, but they don't understand. They've tortured me for months, but they don't understand. That's no way to love. In the end, you're the one to blame. Of course, I should have been much more patient and called the police."
