PSI closes in the 'green', driven by Teixeira Duarte

The Lisbon stock exchange closed the session trading in positive territory, with a gain of 0.69% to 8,226.37 points.
Teixeira Duarte led the day, soaring 8.42% to €0.62. EDP rose 2.23% to €4.315, followed by Mota-Engil, which gained 2.02% to €5.795. EDP Renováveis rose 1.18% to €12.85, BCP added 1.10% to €0.7532, and Altri advanced 0.10% to €4.990.
In contrast, Ibersol lost 0.99% to 10 euros, Semapa fell 0.96% to 18.54 euros, REN slipped 0.48% to 3.110 euros, CTT slipped 0.42% to 7.07 euros and Galp fell 0.22% to 16.14 euros.
The main European markets closed in the 'green', with the CAC40 increasing 0.21% to 7,934.26 points and the Ibex35 gaining 0.33% to 15,537.56 points.
Millennium Investment Banking market analyst Ramiro Loureiro states that " European stock markets recovered part of last Friday's losses, after Donald Trump eased the tense atmosphere caused by his threats of tariffs on China, which led to a sharp drop on Wall Street in the final session of last week."
"Additionally, the revelation that Chinese exports and imports grew above expectations in September could be a positive sign for the global economy and companies with exposure to China, justifying the strong performance of sectors such as natural resources and technology. In Portugal, the upgrades that drove BCP, EDP, and EDPR are noteworthy," he notes.
In the oil market, Texas-based WTI gained 1%, setting the price per barrel at $59.50, and Brent gained 0.84% to $63.26. Natural gas rose 0.26% to $3.114.
In the foreign exchange market, the euro depreciated 0.40% against the dollar, settling at 1.1573 dollars.
