Europe saves Ukraine from Donald Trump

Perhaps this is a last-ditch mission, so quickly is America submitting to Vladimir Putin's demands. On Monday evening, Warsaw time, Emmanuel Macron met with Donald Trump at the White House. He presented the conditions that, according to a united Europe, must be met for building a "lasting" peace in Ukraine. Among them are keeping the door open for Kiev to NATO and the EU, ruling out the demilitarization of the country, maintaining sanctions imposed on Russia and recognizing the legitimacy of Volodymyr Zelensky.
