MEXICO CITY—This Friday, the Mexican currency opened the day on international markets at around 18.63 pesos per dollar. It appreciated 0.09%, or 2 cents, compared to the previous day, according to Bloomberg.

Liquidity is tight as US markets are closed for the Independence Day holiday. The exchange rate showed upward volatility overnight .

According to information from various banking institutions, at the opening, the US dollar is selling for up to 19.8413 pesos at Bank of America branches, while the maximum purchase price is 18.11 pesos at Citibanamex branches.
