Nordio and Santanché, double motion of no confidence. Live from the Chamber

We start at 11 with the general discussion on the motion of no confidence against the Minister of Justice and from 15:30 the discussion and then the vote on the Minister of Tourism. Official defense by the majority

Today at 11 a session begins in the Chamber that will see two discussions on motions of no confidence: one against the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio , the other for the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè , at 15:30 immediately after a commemoration for the ambassador Luca Attasio and the carabiniere Vittorio Iacovacci, killed in Congo four years ago. As for Minister Nordio there will only be a general discussion, with the vote that will be scheduled later, while for Santanchè the discussion has already taken place on February 10, and today we will get to the vote. Santanchè will speak for about twenty minutes and after that there will be an open vote. As we write today in Il Foglio, the defense of the Minister of Tourism "will be an ex officio defense", with the parties of the center-right majority that "will come to her aid", but "without interventions from big names". Also because "Santanchè's dismissal could be much more closely linked to the outcome of the other investigation involving her: the one with the hypothesis of an accusation of fraud against INPS during the Covid-19 epidemic [...]. A hypothesis that could gain traction in the coming months, given that the hearings of that procedural strand will end by May".
