Bologna, June 6, 2025 - An increasingly rich Bologna . The Metropolitan City is second in Italy for overall average income. The average income rises to 29,533 euros , a value that is growing by 4.5% (it was 28,260 in 2022) and 9% higher than the regional figure (27,083 euros) and 18.9% higher than the national figure (24,829 euros).

Above all, the metropolis overtakes Rome (28,643 euros) and becomes second among the metropolitan cities of the Peninsula , behind only Milan which exceeds 33 thousand euros of average income. Near the podium are Florence (27,540) and Turin (27,263).

These data were revealed by the Metropolitan City and processed by the Research and Statistics Service, through those released by the Ministry of Economy and Finance in the report on tax returns for 2024 (therefore with the 2023 revenues).
