Restyling of cabins and interior spaces for the Costa Crociere fleet

Restyling of cabins and interior spaces for the Costa Crociere fleet

A plan launched in 2021 and materially begun in 2022 to renovate the interiors of the longest-serving ships in the fleet. The restyling project was conceived by Costa Crociere to adapt environments and services to the standards of the most modern units, namely Costa Smeralda (185 thousand tons, entered into service in 2020) and Costa Toscana (186,300 tons, in navigation from 2022).

Most of the Costa fleet, six ships out of nine, in short, has undergone (or will undergo, since the last one, Costa Serena, will be refitted in 2026) a significant refit. All this for a total investment of over 200 million euros, over the course of five years.

In 2022, the restyling of Costa Favolosa , a 114,400 ton ship christened in July 2011 in Trieste, was started and completed in dry dock in Marseille. Three new restaurants (Teppaniaky, Archipelago and Sushino), the stern Aperol Spritz bar and the new Sunset bar were created inside the hull.

In 2023 it was the turn of Costa Pacifica , christened in June 2009 in Genoa, with its 114,500 tons of gross tonnage. This unit was also equipped with the Teppaniaky, Archipelago and Sushino restaurants, the Aperol spritz bar at the stern and the Sunset bar. In addition, the layout of the stern, center and bow pools was revised and the on-board shopping gallery was renovated.

In 2024, three ships underwent a refit. Costa Deliziosa , a 92,600-ton unit (the smallest of all), christened in February 2010 in Dubai, in addition to a new layout for the stern and center pools, had all the suites refreshed. As well as the installation of the Aperol Spritz bar, as usual at the stern, and the Sunset bar. Costa Fascinosa , 114,400 tons and christened in Venice in May 2012, in addition to the inevitable Aperol Spritz and Sunset bars, was equipped with the Teppanyaki restaurant. While Costa Diadema , 132,500 tons and christened in November 2014 in Genoa, had a new Heineken café and a steakhouse, as well as the Archipelago and Sushino restaurants and the Sunset bar.
