Acea studies Eni Plenitude's offer: "Particular attention to employment protection"

ROME – Acea ’s board of directors today began examining the binding offer received from Eni Plenitude three days ago for the purchase of the entire capital of its subsidiary Acea Energia . The examination of the offer, according to a note, is taking place within the “strategic path of rationalization and rotation of assets started about a year and a half ago with the launch of the Roman utility ’s industrial plan”.
The company controlled by the Municipality of Rome and led by CEO Fabrizio Palermo announced that, in examining the offer, the board of directors "paid particular attention to the protection of employment levels , considered a central element in the evaluation of any possible extraordinary operation". The board of directors of Acea "will meet again shortly to make the necessary decisions".
In the note, Acea recalls the path taken in the last year and a half in terms of industrial and geographical growth in the water, environmental, electricity and public lighting sectors.
In particular, the Roman company recalls the launch of strategic investment projects taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the Pnrr: the Acquedotto Marcio and Ottavia-Trionfale projects , in addition to the plan to double the Acquedotto del Peschiera , the most significant infrastructure investment ever made by the company in the sector and currently among the largest in Europe. Acea also recalls the awarding of the project for the construction of the new waste-to-energy plant of Rome Capital.
