Toul. Fight against food waste: volunteers collect and recycle unpicked fruit from private homes

They're looking for trees to shake! Members of the Michel-Dinet center's user association are harvesting fruit left behind in the gardens. Mirabelle plums, apples, plums... anything is worth saving. Shared, processed, or sold, the fruit is used to fund member projects.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, each French person throws away an average of 58 kg of food per year. And a good portion of it could still end up on our plates.
