The Le Village nightclub in Juan-les-Pins has reopened after two weeks of administrative closure.

The party is back at the Village in Juan-les-Pins. The nightclub reopened this Friday evening, after a two-week administrative closure .
During an unannounced inspection on July 31, the Antibes Municipal Safety Commission issued an unfavorable opinion due to "failures in the fire alarm system."
" They pulled the fire alarm and decided the sound wasn't loud enough ," said the establishment's manager, Rudy Maman, who was then asked to carry out the work as quickly as possible.
" Except that the supplier could not get the spare parts before the end of August ," he recalls.
As a result, on August 23, a decree was issued requiring the establishment to close until it was brought into compliance.
600 people welcomed" That's it, we changed the alarm sirens and we reopened on Friday with 600 people ," announces Rudy Maman, who is adamant: " If the commission asks us for something, we don't argue and we do it, but I think the town hall made the wrong decision because the system was working ."
Regarding the interim relief he had filed, " the administrative court rejected it because they considered that there was no risk of bankruptcy ."
For the boss, the consequences are serious: " The closure has hurt us, we had to cancel a very big week with big events including a special seasonal evening, birthdays... We lost a total of 150,000 euros and 25 people were unable to work during this time. But hey, the main thing is that young people can come back to dance in Juan-les-Pins, because otherwise the only nightclubs were in Cannes or Nice... "
