Passenger experiencing 'delusions' tries to enter cockpit of Lyon-Porto flight

A passenger experiencing delirium induced hallucinations attempted to enter the cockpit of an EasyJet flight from Lyon to Porto on Friday evening, police and the airline said Saturday. The passenger attempted to enter the cockpit shortly after takeoff from Lyon Saint-Exupéry, EasyJet said.
He was restrained by other passengers and kept restrained until returning to the airport, where he was taken into custody, French police said. Medical examinations confirmed that the 26-year-old Portuguese passenger was suffering from airsickness and delirium, according to police.
Skip the adUnknown to the police, he was hospitalized, according to the same source. The flight then took off again for Porto where it landed late in the evening, EasyJet said.
