LIVE - "He can't wash his hands of this situation": Xavier Bertrand calls on Emmanuel Macron to "speak out to the nation"

Xavier Bertrand calls on Emmanuel Macron to "speak before the Nation"
A guest on RTL , the LR president of Hauts-de-Seine invited Emmanuel Macron to come and "speak before the Nation." He cannot "wash his hands of this situation for which he is responsible (...) for the remaining 19 months," continued Xavier Bertrand. The latter, however, opposed the idea of a new dissolution of the National Assembly. "We must not weaken our institutions," he continued.
The latter also dismissed any hypothesis of an alliance with the National Rally. "The RN, I'm not afraid of them, I fight them," the elected official said, believing that a large part of "the political class trembles before Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella."
"It's a break [with Macronism] or censorship," said Marine Le Pen while waiting for Lecornu's invitation.
Not yet invited by the new Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu , Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella said on Thursday they were ready to meet him at Matignon, while immediately setting out multiple red lines on the budget and threatening censure.
The leader of the RN deputies has not yet received a call from Mr. Lecornu, but "he will not be long in doing so since he has indicated that he will receive all the political forces," declared Ms. Le Pen on TF1.
But the discussion risks being cut short, given her demands: "I will ask him to break with Macronism. It's break or censorship," she warned.
Budget: Lecornu will have to “think differently,” says Marylise Léon before meeting him
Sébastien Lecornu will have to "think differently" from his predecessor at Matignon when it comes to constructing the budget, said CFDT Secretary General Marylise Léon on Thursday, who is due to be received by the new Prime Minister on Friday.
The leader of France's largest union will be received by the Prime Minister "late Friday morning," the CFDT told AFP Thursday evening.
