Dole (Jura). Hundreds of layoffs at Colruyt in 2026: employees disgusted

As Colruyt winds down its operations in France, concern is mounting in the Dole region. According to employees, 500 to 600 employees at administrative and logistics sites could lose their jobs by 2026. Amid anger and uncertainty, they fear a massive influx into the local job market.
“Around us, many people think that we are all taken over by Intermarché… but we are not,” says Anne (1) , who works at Colruyt, in an administrative position in the offices on Boulevard Wilson.
Like several of her colleagues who are speaking alongside her, she is worried about the future. Because in 2026, she will lose her job. "We'll all find ourselves on the job market at the same time, with similar qualifications. In the Dole area, there aren't as many positions." Colruyt will cease operations in France in a few months. Hundreds of employees, working in administrative and logistics positions, will find themselves out of work.
