Dijon and Talant. Company Cup “season 2”: 550 athletes prepare to take on the challenge

The Company Cup, the largest multi-sport inter-company challenge in France, aims to bring together as many employees as possible for a day to challenge themselves in a friendly atmosphere through sporting competitions. Organized by Le Bien Public - Groupe Ebra, this giant sports team-building day will bring together some 550 participants from 31 companies, local authorities, and other organizations on Saturday, September 6, at Lake Kir in Dijon and at the Pascal-Gien stadium in Talant.
Among the latter, a large number of them are repeating, like Caves Carrière (with 24 registered), the Interdepartmental Chamber of Notaries (26), Adhex (37) and the Berthier Group which, this year again, is lining up the largest contingent, mobilizing 62 employees for this giant sports team building event.
For this second edition, eight new “recruits” (Atol CD, Automotive Performance Materials, CMNP, Excelliance, Perraud, TE Connectivity Simel, Trigo France and Urgo Sas) have taken the plunge and will attempt the adventure with numbers ranging from a single entrant for Automotive Performance Materials to 31 for TE Connectivity Simel, which has divided its forces into six disciplines.
“Season 2” will offer, like last year, eight sports (beach tennis, dragon boat, 7x7 football, pétanque, biathlon shooting, grass volleyball, running and orienteering) and each participant had to choose a single discipline except for the running events where it is possible to combine running in the morning (around 10 km) and orienteering in the afternoon (with a maximum of markers to be found in the space of two hours).
While pétanque has the largest number of entries (43 triplets), biathlon shooting has only attracted seven teams (28 competitors), but the finalists of this event will benefit from a golden “coach”. Olympic champion Quentin Fillon Maillet, at the invitation of the Chopard Mercedes-Benz Group, will give advice to the competing teams before attending the final.

Cyrille Comas: “The Company Cup, a friendly meeting for NGE teams”
Among the 23 companies participating again this year, the NGE public works group is also taking part. For Cyrille Comas, BFC sales manager, this event represents much more than a simple competition. "The Company Cup is above all a friendly gathering that allows teams to meet in a setting other than work."
"We sent employees a table listing the sports on offer and asked them to make three choices. Based on the responses and the number of participants needed to form a team, we formed the groups," he emphasizes. NGE has around twenty registered participants in four disciplines: pétanque, beach tennis, running, and orienteering. Unlike in 2024, no team could be formed in grass volleyball.
Cyrille Comas added that "we don't have a goal of winning medals. The important thing is to have a good time together."

Chopard Mercedes-Benz Group: Quentin Fillon Maillet and Antoine de Wilde will be present at Lake Kir on Saturday
As sponsor of this second edition, the Chopard Mercedes-Benz Group has set its sights on a grand scale for 2025. Antoine de Wilde, a top international athlete, is returning to the Company Cup this year: he will be warming up for the running race and will take part in the event scheduled for Saturday morning.
Biathlon shooting will also have its moment of glory with the presence of Quentin Fillon Maillet. The Olympic champion will be present in the afternoon at Lake Kir and will discover the different disciplines offered, especially biathlon shooting.
An interview with Quentin Fillon Maillet can be found in our columns this Friday.
