A new class of engineering students at UTT Nogent

Monday, September 1st, marked the start of the new academic year for a new class of students at the Nogent branch of the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT). Around thirty young people from all over France began their engineering studies in materials and mechanics in the city.
The welcome day was designed to help newcomers integrate and discover their new surroundings. In the morning, they were welcomed by the mayor of Nogent, Thierry Ponce, and several of his deputies. Together, they presented the city and its many services, including its shops, associations, cultural and health facilities, emphasizing the municipality's commitment to supporting student life.
In the afternoon, it was time for adventure! The students took part in a fun treasure hunt through the streets of Nogent. Divided into groups, they had to solve puzzles that led them to iconic locations in the city. The route included stops at the Mobiles Monument, the Cutlery Museum, and the Jojo Boutique, offering an interactive way to discover the local heritage.
The day concluded in a friendly atmosphere at the Nohmad premises, where a snack was organized. This shared moment allowed the students to relax and exchange their first impressions of their new life in Nogent.
This initiative, welcomed by students, reinforces Nogent's role as a hub of higher education and innovation in the region. The municipality and the UTT hope that this new class will flourish and actively contribute to the city's dynamics.
