The Mutua Group grew by 11.6% in non-life premiums in the first half of the year.

The Mutua Madrileña Group closed the first half of 2025 by consolidating its position as the leader in general insurance in Spain. The insurer, chaired by Ignacio Garralda, concluded the first six months of the year with a Non-Life insurance premium volume of €4.167 billion, a new all-time record for the company.
This represents an 11.6% growth compared to the previous year, according to provisional data from ICEA. The sector, for its part, registered an 8% increase, allowing the Mutua Group to increase its Non-Life market share to 16%.
In its total insurance business, which includes non-life and life insurance, the Mutua Group also grew by 11.6% between January and June of this year, reaching €4.41 billion, in line with the growth of the sector.
In the Auto segment, Grupo Mutua recorded significant growth of 12.8%, reaching €1.337 billion, almost three percentage points higher than the sector average (8.9%). This increase was due to the acquisition of new customers attracted by the company's distinctive policy, focused on offering its members exclusive, high-quality services and applying the maximum possible restraint on premium prices.
In recent years, Mutua has kept rates low for a large part of its portfolio, in contrast to the upward market trend, while always ensuring the company's solvency and profitability.
In Healthcare, where the Mutua Group operates through SegurCaixa Adeslas, it closed the half-year with premium revenue of €2.08 billion, 13% more than the previous year. In this case, its market share reached 30%, almost double that of the next largest insurance group in the ranking.
Regarding Multi-Peril Home insurance, premiums grew by 9.8%, reaching €530 million. In the case of Life insurance, the Mutua Group registered growth of 12%, reaching €242 million, compared to 18% for the sector as a whole.
Currently, the Mutua Group is the leading insurance group in Spain in the Non-Life market, the leading in the Health business, the leading in the Auto business, and the third in Total Insurance, including Life and Non-Life, according to data recently released by ICEA.
