Feijóo will approve a Housing Plan in his first Council of Ministers meeting.

A Housing Plan will be one of the 10 priority measures the People's Party (PP) will adopt when it comes to power. Alberto Núñez Feijóo, elected party president yesterday with 99.2% of the vote at the 21st National Congress of the People's Party (PP), which closed today, outlined the measures he will take in his first 100 days as president.
Housing is a priority for the PP, as demonstrated in their political report, which details some of the most specific measures. One of the most important is "establishing the criterion of positive administrative silence for obtaining building permits for new construction and renovations, except for those with some type of environmental, heritage, or historical protection." Expanding the available building land and creating incentives for vacant apartments to be rented "with legal certainty," in addition to "accelerating the construction of new housing to rapidly increase the available supply," are other solutions proposed by the PP.
Easing the tax burden on families and businesses will be another immediate measure, Núñez Feijóo proclaimed in his closing speech. He stated that he is committed to "reviewing the 97 tax increases" of recent years . "We are going to lower them," he declared.
Raising the average wage of Spaniards will be part of the priority package. Feijóo said that "the minimum wage is a safety net for us to rise , and we aspire to continue raising it, with agreements, " but raising the average wage "is our goal, and it's complicated."
Reducing illegal immigration will also be achieved within the PP's first 100 days if it takes office. "We are an open country, but not a naive one," declared the party president. The political report approved yesterday specifies that "we will eliminate the link between registration and access to non-contributory economic benefits for undocumented immigrants because undocumented status cannot generate rights."
RegenerationOn the political front, Alberto Núñez Feijóo has announced that the first action of his future cabinet will be "democratic regeneration to ensure checks and balances against power." In this regard, he has pledged that appointments to public institutions will not go to individuals who have been in politics for at least five years prior to taking office.
In this chapter, he stressed that he "will not rely on the captive vote," so if the majority supporting him falls, he will call elections, just as he will if they do not support his General State Budget proposal.
Strengthening citizen security, providing more doctors in the public health system, a National Water Pact agreed upon by all the autonomous communities, "clarifying defense policy," and a language law that guarantees the co-official status of all languages spoken in Spain but allows children to be educated in Spanish are the remaining proposals from the first 100 days.
