The 6-month inflation data, which directly concerns millions of retirees, will affect retirement salaries. In this context, the AKP has accelerated its efforts to increase the lowest retirement salary, which is currently 14,469 TL. The increase in the lowest salary will be determined by the June inflation data to be announced on July 3.
POSSIBLE INCREASE SCENARIOS AND INFLATION EXPECTATIONSJune inflation is expected to be around 1.61%. In this case, the 6-month inflation difference will be around 16.94%.
With this increase, the lowest retirement salary of 14,469 TL may rise to approximately 16,901 TL.
However, other than that, different increase scenarios are also on the agenda, regardless of inflation rates. According to these scenarios:
A 20% increase: The salary will increase to 17,363 TL.
A 25% increase: The salary will reach 18,086 TL.
A 30% increase: The salary will rise to 18,810 TL.
These alternative increase scenarios show that different calculations can be made about how much retirees' salaries will increase.
SALARY INCREASE WILL BE CLEAR WITH INFLATION DATAThe rates of increase to be received by retirees receiving salaries under the SSK, Bağ-Kur and Emekli Sandığı will be finalized in line with the June inflation data to be announced at 10:00 on Thursday, July 3, 2025. This data will play a critical role in determining how much the salary increases will be.
LEGAL REGULATIONS AND TIMELINEThe necessary legal arrangement for the increase in the lowest retirement salary to be put into effect is planned to be enacted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly by July 11. With this arrangement, retirees' salaries will be paid with the new increase rates.
