The lowest pension to be presented to Erdoğan has been announced

The rate of increase for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will become definite with the inflation data to be announced by TÜİK on July 3. While the issue of whether or not there will be an interim increase in the lowest retirement salary this year has caused discussions, AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler announced yesterday that there will be changes in the base salaries of retirees.
Following Güler's statement, there was curiosity about how much the lowest pension would be increased, and the first information on the subject began to come from Ankara's lobbies.
INFLATION RATE WILL BE SUBMITTED TO PARLIAMENT IN THE SAME WAY According to the Social Security Institution (SGK) legislation, the 6-month inflation difference is directly reflected as an increase in the basic salary of SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees. On the other hand, a law amendment must be made in the Turkish Grand National Assembly for a change in the lowest retirement salary determined by law.
The economy administration, which has increased the minimum pension above the inflation rate in previous years, will keep the minimum pension offer at the same level as the inflation data to be announced by TÜİK this year.
The inflation data to be shared with the public on July 3 will be presented to the General Assembly of the Parliament by AKP deputies in the same manner, and the lowest retirement salary of 14,469 TL will be increased. Economists expect the likely increase rate to be between 16.5 and 17 percent.
