The director's films, which came under fire due to harassment allegations, were removed from MUBI.

Designer Yaprak Civan alleged that she was physically harassed by director Selim Evci while working as an assistant in his office. Civan's claim sparked widespread social media outcry, and the digital streaming platform MUBI announced that it had removed the director's films from its broadcast.
MUBI released a statement saying, " As MUBI Turkey, we have been closely monitoring recent social media posts. In light of these posts, we would like to announce that we have removed Selim Evci's Two Cartoons from broadcast and removed "Time Is Wasted," which we had planned to screen in September, from our program. We hear the voices of women and support making the film production process a safe and equitable space for everyone ."
Following MUBI, Akbank Sanat announced that it had terminated its relationship with Evci, the manager of the company from which they had received services for the Akbank Short Film Festival, and that this year's festival, which was scheduled for March 23rd to April 2nd, had been canceled. The statement reads as follows:
Due to social media posts regarding Selim Evci, the manager of the company from which we received services for the Akbank Short Film Festival, we have decided to terminate our relationship and cancel the 22nd edition of the festival. While the posts in question are still allegations, this decision has been implemented in accordance with our corporate values and principles. Our institution will continue to support culture and the arts within the framework of the value it places on trust and its corporate principles. We respectfully submit this for the public's information.
