The Public Arbitration Board has begun its work to discuss civil servant salaries.

The Board convened for its first meeting at 2:30 p.m. Nine of the 11-member Board of Referees are expected to attend.

Mahmut Faruk Doğan, the head of Sağlık-Sen and Kamu-Sen from the Memur-Sen Confederation, are also attending the meeting.

A News reporter Filiz Uçan Savaş reported as follows: After failing to reach an agreement on civil servant raises, the Public Employers' Committee submitted an application last night. The Arbitration Board must respond to the application within five days. The first meeting began today at 2:30 PM. The committee makes decisions by majority vote. The decision is not appealed and is considered a contract. Memur-Sen also attended the meeting. The committee consists of 11 members.
