Teka, a manufacturer of built-in kitchen products, has initiated growth moves in Türkiye following its integration with Midea. While the target is to increase this year’s turnover by over 50 percent compared to last year, a five-fold growth is planned within 5 years. Founded in Germany in 1924 and currently operating in over 100 countries, Teka Group designs and manufactures built-in products, stainless steel sinks, faucets, and manufactures ovens, hobs, and hoods among its kitchen products.

Following the Midea merger, Teka Avrasya CEO Aydın Kuzaltı said that they decided to move forward with a strong growth target as Teka Turkey, “Our priorities this year will be to expand the product range and diversify by restructuring the sales channel. During this period, we started adding new TEKA branded product varieties, primarily air conditioners, to our portfolio in Türkiye. In line with our growth targets, we aim to increase our turnover by over 50 percent this year compared to last year and grow fivefold in 5 years.”

Kuzaltı, who explained that the merger will have significant repercussions on both the production and retail sides, said, “Our priority is to increase the capacity and efficiency of the existing factories. Our work continues in both the Izmir and Çerkezköy factories. We aim to at least double the total exports of our production facility in Izmir by 2028. We will quadruple the number of our exclusive stores in Türkiye by 2030.”

The German Teka brand has been operating in Türkiye since 1992. In addition to its sales to the domestic market, Teka Turkey exports from Türkiye to 5 continents and assumes responsibility for 18 more regional countries. Teka has two production facilities in Türkiye. Teka Izmir Factory has an annual production capacity of 2 million units in a 24 thousand square meter area in the Aegean Free Zone.
