The Ministry of Trade announced that a Support and Price Stabilization Fund (DFIF) deduction of 50 cents per kilogram will be applied to table egg exports.
(ANKARA) - The Ministry of Trade announced that a Support and Price Stabilization Fund (DFIF) deduction of 50 cents per kilogram will be applied to table egg exports.
According to the statement made by the ministry, the regional bird flu outbreak that emerged in Turkey in the last quarter of 2024 caused a decrease in egg production. In the same period, the increase in foreign demand for eggs originating in Turkey led to an increase in prices in the domestic market. In order to minimize the negative effects of this situation on the consumer, a new regulation was introduced for exports.
Within the scope of the regulation in question, the "Presidential Decree No. 9526 on Amendments to the Decision on the Support and Price Stabilization Fund" was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force. Accordingly, a DFIF deduction of 50 cents per kilogram will be applied to table egg exports.
The Ministry emphasized that it will continue to take measures to protect food supply security and ensure price stability by working in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in the coming period, and stated that the necessary measures will be taken to avoid supply shortages in the domestic market, especially before the month of Ramadan.
