New 20 TL banknotes were put into circulation

In its announcement, the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) stated that, based on the authority granted to the CBRT by Law No. 1211, the E9 Emission Group VII. Series 20 TL banknotes were put into circulation starting today.

The announcement stated, "Compared to the previous series of E9 Emission Group 20 TL banknotes currently in circulation, the signatures on the 7th series 20 TL banknotes have been redesigned to belong to our President, Dr. Fatih Karahan, and our Vice President, Prof. Dr. Hatice Karahan. Aside from the signatures, these banknotes are identical to the previous series in terms of size, obverse and reverse composition, and general appearance. The new series banknotes will circulate alongside the previous series banknotes."
