Naz Arıcı: "This is a great pride"

Naz Arıcı, who stated that she worked very hard and disciplined for 1 year with her trainer Timuçin Özbükücü for this competition, said, "I fought a lot physically and psychologically. This competition meant a lot to me. This is the biggest masters figure skating competition in the world. Keeping my country's name at the top, the fact that my loved ones and those who believe in me expect a medal from me made me much more determined. However, I felt the responsibility on me very much. Bringing this medal to my country was worth all the stress we went through. With this success, I understood better how many people I loved and supported in the world. This is a great pride. With this success, I gave many interviews to many countries at the end of the competition. They follow my successes in this sport closely. They are curious about the program we follow with my trainer during our training. Our fans and followers are really many. I present this medal to all the Turkish people who love our country and add value to our country. How happy is the one who says I am Turkish. I will continue my work to keep my country at the top in ice skating. This is my promise to you. "Let it be," he said.

Timuçin Özbükücü, who stated that they worked very hard within the plan and program, said, "I say this because our working hours started at 05:30. We had intensive training sessions that lasted up to 8 hours a day. In addition to my coaching, I am both an international and national ice skating referee. I prepared and presented Naz's choreography in a way that would leave a mark on the world. Likewise, after she became the champion, there was a lot of interest in Germany. Naz was known worldwide for her previous successes, but this year we met people who came specifically to watch Naz. It is very moving to see that we are loved so much. After Naz became the champion, the German Ice Skating Federation managers asked us questions and we gave interviews. They asked about our working methods, our music. Even athletes from other countries came to Türkiye and asked me to coach them. I aim to promote and make ice skating more popular in our country and to attract athletes from other countries to our country and organize camps and major competitions. Naz and I are dedicated to making Türkiye known worldwide for its success in ice skating, especially in the masters category. ourselves," he said.
