Central Bank's August interest rate decision expected! CBRT interest rate decision meeting schedule 2025

CENTRAL BANK SEPTEMBER INTEREST RATE DECISION MEETING DATE

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) will hold a Monetary Policy Committee meeting on September 11th to determine the August interest rate. Following the meeting, the interest rate decision will be announced at 2:00 PM on the same day.

In the announcement regarding interest rates, it was stated that the Bank reduced the one-week repo auction interest rate by 300 basis points and decided to reduce the policy rate to 43 percent. The Monetary Policy Committee (MPK) reduced the Central Bank's overnight lending rate from 49 percent to 46 percent and the overnight borrowing rate from 44.5 percent to 41.5 percent.

The Bank's other meetings in 2025 will be held on October 23 and December 11, 2025.
