Beats market expectations: Nvidia's revenue jumps 78 percent

Nvidia announced its financial results for the three-month period ending January 26, which it considered in its balance sheet as the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025.

Accordingly, the company's revenue in the said period increased by 78 percent annually to $39.3 billion.

Nvidia, which increased its revenue by 12 percent compared to the previous quarter, had revenue of $22.1 billion in the same period last year.

Market expectations were for Nvidia's revenue to be $38.05 billion in this period.

Nvidia's revenue increased by 114 percent to $130.5 billion in fiscal 2025.

The chipmaker announced its revenue expectation for the current quarter as $43 billion.

COMPANY’S PROFIT INCREASED BY 80 PERCENT

Nvidia's net profit also rose 80 percent year over year to $22.1 billion in the quarter.

The company's net profit was recorded as $12.3 billion in the same period last year.

Nvidia's earnings per share rose to 89 cents in the period, from 49 cents in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024.

The company's profit also exceeded market expectations.

Nvidia Founder and CEO Jensen Huang described demand for its Blackwell artificial intelligence chip as "fantastic" in a statement on financial results.

Stating that they successfully accelerated the large-scale production of Blackwell AI supercomputers, Huang said that they achieved billions of dollars in sales in the first quarter.

"AI is advancing at lightning speed, with agentic AI and physical AI paving the way for the next wave of AI that will revolutionize the largest industries," Huang said.
