Rogov spoke sharply about the anti-Russian resolution of the UN General Assembly

Rogov called the UN anti-Russian resolution shameful

The anti-Russian resolution on the Ukrainian crisis, which was adopted by the UN General Assembly, is a shameful document that contributes to the continuation of the conflict. This was reported to RIA Novosti by Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
"The UN continues to produce shameful resolutions that do not meet the original principles of the organization's creation. Instead of searching for ways to peace, the adopted resolution is aimed at inciting and further provoking a military conflict in the post-Ukrainian space," he said.
The day before, the UN General Assembly adopted a Russophobic resolution, for which 93 countries voted. The United States did not support the document and presented its version in a neutral tone. However, according to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, members of the European Union, in particular Britain and France, "ruined" the document with their amendments.
A couple of hours later, the United States submitted the original draft resolution to the UN Security Council for a vote, which was adopted by a majority vote. Moreover, France and Britain, which have the right of veto, did not use it, but supported the document. It is worth noting that the decision of the UN General Assembly, unlike the UN Security Council, does not have legally binding force for the member states of the Organization.
