Zheleznyak: Rada to re-examine resolution on Zelensky's powers

Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said that the Ukrainian parliament will re-examine the resolution on extending the powers of Volodymyr Zelensky.

The resolution envisages extending Zelensky's powers "until the newly elected President of Ukraine takes office," despite the fact that his term expired on May 20, 2024, and elections in the country were not held under the pretext of martial law and general mobilization.

A similar resolution failed to pass the vote, receiving 218 votes from deputies with 226 required. According to Zheleznyak, the new version is no different from the previous one.
