How do Poles perceive their financial situation? Results of the latest survey

Almost half of Poles assess their financial situation positively, one in five sees it negatively, and a quarter have mixed feelings about it, according to a report by UCE Research and GKPG business law firm. The most satisfied with the state of their finances are the youngest adults and residents of large cities.
"The results obtained in the study can be considered positive only in moderate degree – assessed the co-author of the report, Łukasz Goszczyński from GKPG office. "A significant number of Poles still have reservations about their financial situation," he added.
According to the report, 49.1 percent of Poles are satisfied with their financial situation. 27.3 percent have the opposite opinion. In turn, 20.5 percent say they are neither doing well nor badly. 3.1% are unable to determine on this matter.
People who assess their financial situation positively are the ones who: aged 18-24. In this group of respondents, 70.1% indicated this respondents with monthly net income above PLN 9,000 77.1 percent expressed satisfaction with their financial situation. Good condition 57% of residents of cities with 200-499 inhabitants also assess their finances thousand population.
The best assessment of the state of one's finances is made by people who are maternity, paternity or parental leave, of which yes 60 percent of respondents. Next in the ranking are people studying or learning - 53.7 percent of responses, as well as those working full-time - 53.2 percent.
"Usually, people who are on such leave have stable life situation, including financial. In turn, students and pupils they still have time to think about their professional career. They are often still on support of their parents and only when they start working on their own, their “the point of view is changing,” Goszczyński noted.
People in particular assess their financial situation negatively. aged 65-74 - 33.9 percent of responses, respondents with monthly net income of PLN 1,000-2,999 - 47.4 percent, as well as residents of rural areas and towns with up to 5 thousand inhabitants - 31.2 percent
As the authors of the report pointed out, as a rule, the smaller the town, the lower the earnings of the residents. This regularity translates into the assessment of their financial situation of the respondents.
"Seniors, on the other hand, usually have low incomes, which often do not cover their current needs. Fixed charges, first-class items needs, medicines - all of this has become more expensive, which has affected the personal assessment the financial situation of this group," Goszczyński pointed out.
53.5% of respondents assessed their financial situation as bad. the group of unemployed persons, 45.7 percent of surveyed pensioners, as well as 33.4 percent retirees and the same percentage of homemakers.
"The relatively low percentage of people who are ill is somewhat surprising. pensioners' perception of their financial situation - significantly smaller than in the case of a seemingly similar group, namely pensioners" - he noted Goszczynski.
