Billionaire Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of messaging service Telegram, plans to leave his entire fortune to the more than 100 children he has fathered.

He said this in an interview with the French magazine Le Point. Durov says he is the official father of six children with three different partners.

He also started sperm donation 15 years ago, which he says has led to the conception of more than 100 babies in 12 countries.

"I want to emphasize that I do not differentiate between my children," the Russian-born Durov said. "They are all my children and they will all have the same rights."

2055

That means each child can expect a hefty sum. According to the leading billionaires list of news agency Bloomberg, his net worth currently amounts to 13.9 billion dollars , the equivalent of more than 12 billion euros. That means each of his at least 106 children can expect to receive around 114 million euros, but not until 2055.

Telegram shares IP addresses and phone numbers of people involved in illegal activities

According to the Forbes list, Durov owns even more money, namely 17.1 billion dollars , which at the current dollar rate equates to approximately 140 million euros per child.

Durov made his money by founding Telegram, a messaging service similar to WhatsApp. Telegram has over 1 billion users. Earlier, Durov also founded VKontakte (Russian Facebook).

Free

The clinic that offers free IVF treatment with Dourov's sperm is the AltraVita clinic in Moscow. Dourov covers the costs himself.

To be eligible, women must be under 37 years of age and in good health.

Rich parents? Then the chance that you will become rich is also increasing

If Dourov has more children, there will of course be less money left per child. But even if his number of children increases by half, or even doubles, his children will still receive an amount that most people can only dream of.

First earn money yourself

"I made my will very recently," said Durov, 40, who, according to the interview, does hundreds of push-ups every morning and does not drink alcohol, coffee or tea. "I decided that my children will have access to my fortune only after a period of 30 years, counting from today."

Dourov wants to wait before giving money to his children, because until then they will have to earn their own money.

Controversial

Durov is controversial. French prosecutors charged Durov last year, alleging that he did not take sufficient action against criminal acts, such as the distribution of images of sexual abuse involving minors on Telegram.

He himself denied the accusations. Yesterday, Durov received permission from a French judge to travel more freely to Dubai, where his company's headquarters are located.
