Vox points out that Aragon will receive less investment with the debt forgiveness

"An attack on equality." This is how VOX Aragón has described the agreement to forgive 17 billion euros of debt for Catalonia and the proposal of the Ministry of Finance for the rest of the autonomous regions.
Its spokesman, Alejandro Nolasco, has criticised this agreement in a press conference in the Cortes of Aragon, which also represents an increase of 2,000 million euros on the initial figure of 15,000 million euros that had been initially planned and which has now been raised in the agreement between ERC and PSOE . The latter party, about which Nolasco has pointed out that "it allows itself to be humiliated because Junqueras announces it".
Nolasco explained that " we Aragonese are going to pay for the waste of the Catalan governments " in relation to the linguistic policies in favour of Catalan and the independence agenda.
" Each Spanish worker will have 800 euros stolen from their pocket , which they have honestly earned, so that the number 1 of the plot, according to the UCO, can use La Moncloa and public resources for private ends." It is an agreement to please the independence movement, he stressed.
Nolasco has stated that the debt forgiveness is " blackmail that VOX will not accept", in addition to sending the message to the Minister of Education and General Secretary of the PSOE in Aragon, Pilar Alegría, that they do not trust them because it was already seen with the FITE that the increase in the allocation is simply the part that corresponds to the increase due to the CPI.
"We continue to be victims of the poor functioning of the autonomous communities," which is reflected in the fact that every year there are worse services, the poverty rate increases and there is little public investment." And, with the debt forgiveness, this situation will be accentuated because " they will stop investing in Aragon for the 2,124 million" that would be forgiven to the Aragonese community .
In this way, Nolasco has considered that this cancellation will be the excuse to stop investing in Aragon, "which would never happen in the Basque Country or Catalonia." Among the investments that VOX considers could be slowed down are those related to infrastructures that have already been delayed for years in the Aragonese community, such as the connection by motorway between Pamplona-Huesca-Lérida, the widening of the N-232 between Fuentes de Ebro and El Burgo de Ebro or the connections in Teruel.
"They tell us that we have to settle for 2+1 roads. Can you imagine this in Madrid or Catalonia?" It is a long list of delays to which other infrastructures have also been added, such as improvements to the Canfranc line or improvements to the trains on the Zaragoza-Pamplona connection.
Nolasco has also stated that the debt forgiveness raises problems between the autonomous communities due to the differences in the amounts , which he pointed out that "they use it to be in power and confront the communities. For VOX, those born in Teruel have the same rights as those born in Martorell."
