Superbonus Sicily, "€45 million for those who live here": you really deserve it | The decree has passed.

€45 million has been granted to those living in Sicily. The decree has now passed. Here's what you need to know.
Sicily can finally receive concrete recognition for the strength and resilience it has demonstrated over the years. 2025 is putting the whole of Italy, including what was once the largest island, to the test. These have been very difficult months, including floods, landslides, and extensive damage to its productive and infrastructural fabric.
In such a scenario, the news that many were waiting for has finally arrived and 45 million euros have finally been put on the table.
A true reward for all those who have existed and tried to rebuild their religion and their lives, to give up the economic and social future of a territory that needs rebirth.
Renato Schifani, head of the regional government, has given the green light to the reorganization of existing European funds, finding in the EU regulation the possibility of offering immediate and concrete responses . The result is the activation of a strategic objective without skyrocketing expenditures.
Concrete help after months of difficulty: what the new plan includesThese have been rather challenging months in the Sicily region , with damage to production systems bringing particularly vulnerable local communities, such as those in the island's inland areas, to their knees. Precisely with this in mind, a new plan approved by the regional council was needed, aimed at repairing and revitalizing the region. What was needed were the essential funds for the most urgent structural interventions. But the measure in question goes far beyond what one might imagine.
The Schifani government announced that the €45 million will also be used to strengthen infrastructure networks, improve regional resilience, and ensure that similar events do not cause the kind of damage we've seen in recent months. In short, this is an important measure that will move Sicily into the future.

Schifani's statement was clear: " We are seizing the opportunity offered by the EU Restore regulation to allocate significant resources for urgent interventions in the region, to address the consequences of disasters and to restore production systems and infrastructure networks ." This measure would therefore recognize the right of Sicilians to receive concrete assistance. This extraordinary bonus for the region is being activated thanks to the reorganization of European funds from the 2021–2027 ERDF Program.
€45 million will therefore be allocated for strategic interventions related to damage from natural disasters. Those affected by natural disasters, damaged businesses, and strategic infrastructures damaged in 2025 will be eligible to benefit. This is not just a financial measure, but a true act of equality.
