Sky Italia, Perrelli and d'Errico are leaving: the top managers are moving on to new professional challenges.

Sky Italia, Perrelli and d'Errico are leaving: the top managers are moving on to new professional challenges.

Sky Italia has announced the departure of Marzio Perrelli and Antonella d'Errico, Executive Vice President of Sport and Executive Vice President of Content, respectively. Both top managers will leave the company at the end of July to pursue new career paths. As stated in the first of two official statements released by the company, after seven years at Sky, Marzio Perrelli is ending his tenure as head of the sports division, where he made a decisive contribution to consolidating the company's leadership in sports offerings and building a unique rights portfolio in Europe. Sky Italia thanked Perrelli for "his commitment, professionalism, and contribution to the company's success, and in particular to the results achieved by Sky Sport, wishing him all the best in his new projects."

"A sincere thank you to the professionals at Sky and Sky Sport," Perrelli said, "with whom I had the privilege of sharing seven intense years of challenges at the highest levels. An exceptional team, capable of turning difficulties into opportunities. I leave a strengthened brand: today Sky Sport truly represents the home of sport. The ability to add value to sports content, as demonstrated by the various stakeholders, remains the hallmark of the work done. Sky Sport has an extraordinary future ahead of it."

Regarding Antonella d'Errico, the press release emphasizes that the top manager, who has been with the company since 2013, has held roles of increasing responsibility, including leading the Content Department and president of Vision Distribution since 2021. She has made a significant contribution to the evolution of Sky's editorial offering, as well as spearheading the development of free-to-air channels and leading the creation and success of TV8. She is now preparing for a new professional phase. The company thanked d'Errico "for her decisive contribution, with commitment and professionalism, to the growth and evolution of the editorial offering, providing creativity, vision, and determination, and wishes her all the best for the new challenges that await her."

"These have been years of great professional and human enrichment due to the many challenges faced and the beautiful and important projects completed," said d'Errico. "I thank Sky for the growth opportunities and the shared path, my precious team and all the people with whom I have collaborated over the years." No comment from Sky Italia, but after these decisions by the two top managers, rumours are circulating that the company will soon announce a reorganisation of its content areas.
