Hiring in Friuli Venezia Giulia: 11,650 contracts in July: services soar.

WATCH THE VIDEO. 11,650 are the number of employment contracts planned for July by companies in Friuli Venezia Giulia, according to the latest Excelsior-Unioncamere bulletin, prepared by the Pordenone-Udine Chamber of Commerce Research Center. This figure represents a 6.8% increase compared to 2024.
Labor demand among industrial and service companies shows an overall upward trend, with 720 planned hires (+6.8%) compared to July 2024 and 2,280 hires compared to the July-September quarter of last year (+8.3%). Growth continues to be driven by planned contracts in services, which total 8,290. In July, the tourism sector naturally leads the way, with 3,040 workers sought, followed by business services (2,430). Industry as a whole is seeking 2,950 workers in July, of which 2,160 in manufacturing and 780 in construction, a slight decrease compared to the previous year, as is trade. Services, on the other hand – explains President Giovanni Da Pozzo – are once again growing with +870 contracts, or +11.7%, mainly thanks to tourism, which totals +630 contracts, or +26.1%, and business services, with +280 contracts, or +13%.
For the first time, the need for workers in the primary sector has also been surveyed, where 410 new hires are expected in July. Among the most difficult professions to find – 6,000 profiles, or 52.1% of the professional figures – are analysts and specialists in app design and IT technicians, healthcare workers, financial management workers, automatic and semi-automatic machine operators and blacksmiths, tool makers but also artisanal mechanics, foundries, welders and tinsmiths.
