Elkann: "Position with the Revenue Agency finalized."

Siblings John, Lapo, and Ginevra Elkann have reached a comprehensive settlement with the Italian Revenue Agency regarding the tax liabilities arising from the inheritance of their grandmother Marella Agnelli, Gianni Agnelli's widow. A spokesperson for the Elkanns told ANSA that "the settlement was concluded without any admission, even tacit or partial, of the validity of the initially alleged disputes." A criminal proceeding coordinated by the Turin prosecutor's office is underway regarding a series of issues surrounding Gianni Agnelli's inheritance.
The agreement with the Revenue Agency was reached "with the aim of quickly and definitively closing a painful personal and family matter." This is what a spokesperson for siblings John, Lapo, and Ginevra Elkann told ANSA regarding what is described as "a comprehensive resolution with the Revenue Agency of potential disputes regarding the tax burdens potentially imposed on them as Donna Marella Agnelli's heirs." An article published today by 'Il Fatto Quotidiano' states that the payments to the Agency amount to €175 million.
