Milan – Giovanni Bozzini has been re-elected President of CNA Lombardia and will lead the Regional Confederation for the next four years. The new President of the union organization, which has more than 20,000 members in Lombardy, was elected by the CNA Regional Council, with a vote involving 69 delegates from all provinces and 35 categories (including Association Presidents, Professions, and Territorial Delegates).
A Cremona entrepreneur in the healthcare and social care sector, Giovanni Bozzini previously led CNA Lombardia for the previous four years . "First of all, I thank the CNA Lombardia Board for the renewed trust in me," said the President of CNA Lombardia. "We will approach this second term aware of the ongoing changes and the risks that business growth has faced and, unfortunately, will continue to face in a geopolitical context of grave uncertainty . We have overcome Covid -19 and know we can make our contribution even on the challenging terrain of this phase. In this climate of constant change, we intend to continue our analysis and monitoring activities in the service of trade union representatives and Lombardy's institutions. For us, lobbying means placing the representation of the interests of micro and small businesses within the framework of the general interest of the region and of improving the quality of policies."
According to the Third Focus on the Lombardy economy conducted by the Sintesi Study Center for CNA Lombardia, the region's GDP is expected to grow by 0.7%, accompanied by a 0.7% increase in consumption and a 1.2% increase in investment. This is partly thanks to the final phase of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), which continues to support spending on green redevelopment and innovation. The value of regional exports is expected to increase by 1.5% compared to the previous year, driven by the agri-food, fashion, chemical, and mechanical sectors. The overall number of active businesses in Lombardy remains stable, while the artisan sector has seen a moderate decline, although it still maintains a significant share of the productive fabric, with approximately 230,000 artisan businesses representing over 28% of the total.
"Some battles will remain crucial ," the President of CNA Lombardia emphasizes, "such as the relationship with sustainability policies, green housing, the revitalization of mobility in which the automotive sector and our industry regain a central role, the relationship between the knowledge economy and local production, and a credit system closer to supply chains and business communities. The local area must regain its voice and strength and remain a key player in the production of goods. We need to defend Lombardy's updated and innovative manufacturing vocation , also leveraging the quality of the tertiary sector and digital services connected to the knowledge economy. Our hope," he concludes, "is to work effectively in the service of social and economic representation in a society and in an era in which disintermediation and individual disenchantment prevail; everything political and collective seems to be in serious crisis, and we need to give strength to those seeking shared and sustainable solutions to everyone's problems. Finally, our businesses desire peace, both for reasons of humanity and for the common good." both for an interest in generating prosperity in harmony between States".
