Why Mars bars are not available at Intermarché drive-throughs

Why Mars bars are not available at Intermarché drive-throughs
The Les Mousquetaires group claims that this disappearance of products is due to the Mars group's desire to no longer supply Intermarchés stores.

Unobtainable in drive-throughs. Products from the brands Mars, M&M's, Maltesers, Bounty, Celebrations, Twix, Milky Way, and Balisto are mostly unobtainable on the Intermarché drive-through shopping sites. Behind this disappearance lies a commercial tug-of-war between the Mousquetaires group and the Mars group.

While the two groups are currently engaged in tense commercial negotiations, Mars group products were already becoming rare on the shelves of Intermarché supermarkets. To explain this disappearance to their customers, the Intermarché group chose to display a poster in its stores displaying the slogan "Mars attacks" in large black letters.

According to the Mousquetaires group, contacted by BFM Business, this disappearance is not linked to a desire by Intermarché to delist the products of the Mars group but "to Mars' desire to stop delivering to us", which is now "having repercussions on the drive".

According to consumer specialist Olivier Dauvers , the 10-pack of Mars bars was now only available in a handful of Intermarché drives. Only Mars brand ice cream products or biscuits marketed by the group remain available in most Intermarché drives.
