Social Security Budget: The Constitutional Council will give its decision on Friday, February 28

The Constitutional Council announced in a press release that it will deliver its decision on Friday, February 28 at 4 p.m. regarding the Social Security financing law for 2025. It was voted on Monday, February 17 by the Senate after its adoption by the National Assembly through recourse to Article 49.3 of the Constitution.
The institution was contacted on February 19 by the group of deputies La France insoumise, who consider that several parts of the text are unconstitutional. According to LFI, article 16 of the law must be censored, which aims to " make the reimbursement of a health product or treatment conditional ", which " exposes patients to reimbursement delisting ".
LFI also calls for "censoring the 'rabbit' tax (article 16 bis D), which makes making a medical appointment subject to a bank pre-authorization and restricts access to care for the most vulnerable ." Third request: " censoring the health insurance spending targets set for 2024 and 2025 " which " are based on 4 billion in budget cuts to the detriment of the health of our fellow citizens ."
The sixty or so signatories also ask the Constitutional Council to censure the "unfair taxation of apprentices earning more than 50% of the minimum wage by the CSG and the CRDS ", included in articles 2 and 27, because it " exposes young workers who are massively paid below the poverty line and will aggravate the precariousness of young people ".
Last censorship requested by LFI: the part of the text of the law (article 16 bis C) which provides for " the abolition of the medical control service of Health Insurance, which puts an end to independent and impartial control of insured persons, and constitutes a social rider ".
