By Christine HenryIt is a little after 8 o'clock this Tuesday morning and Sid Ahmed Larabi, smiling, is twirling through the aisles of the Intermarché de Jussieu in Paris (5th arrondissement) . The night before, this greengrocer received the national prize in the "Les Talents des Fruits et Légumes - Le Challenge des Commerces" competition, in the local trade category, at theSalon de l'agriculture which is being held until Sunday, March 2 at the Porte de Versailles (15th arrondissement). "It is his expertise, his high standards in serving his customers and his personalized advice that made the difference," insists Daniel Sauvaitre, president of Interfel, the interprofessional organization for fresh fruits and vegetables, organizer of the prize.
While the supermarket on rue des Fossés-Saint-Bernard (Ve) has just opened its doors this Tuesday, Sid Ahmed, congratulated by his colleagues as they pass by, takes a satisfied look at his fruit and vegetable section, topped with an arch of foliage that is more real than life. "I am very proud to have won this title. It is the culmination of a lot of work," rejoices, still moved, the 35-year-old winner.
