Nestlé launches Kitkat in the chocolate bar aisle with three new flavors

Hazelnut, salted caramel and double chocolate. Three new Kitkat chocolate bars have appeared on supermarket shelves in recent days, ahead of their official launch on Wednesday, February 26, by the Nestlé group, reports the specialist retail magazine Linéraires .
These 99-gram chocolate bars are priced at 2.49 euros in most hypermarkets. Nestlé is thus pursuing a strategy of diversifying its range, focusing on the chocolate bar, as the Mars group has already done, for example, with its M&Ms brand .
The Kitkat brand is not new to diversification, as many products derived from the classic chocolate bar have already appeared on shelves in recent years.
However, some of these innovations have ended up being withdrawn from the French, or even European, market, due to consumers' disenchantment with these products. This is the case, for example, of the vegan version of Kitkat , or even its pink version .
Elsewhere in the world, particularly in Japan, Kitkats come in many different versions. The best known is the one with matcha green tea , but you can also find Kitkats with strawberries, apple pie, sweet potatoes, red beans, or even... wasabi.
