School is out, and summer holidays are starting. "Significant traffic is expected on all major roads in the country," warns the public organization Bison Futé , on the first day of the summer school holidays, Friday, July 4. The national road information center predicts particularly heavy traffic on Saturday and "therefore advises users to avoid driving that day." Franceinfo presents the traffic forecast for this weekend.

Friday: significant slowdowns in Ile-de-France

In the direction of departures, Bison futé predicts traffic difficulties throughout the country "from midday" , in particular "on the roads serving the Atlantic coast (RN165, A11 and A63 in particular), the Rhone corridor (A7 and A46), the Mediterranean coast (A54, A8, A57, A61), and on the axes coming from the North-East borders (A31, A25, A4)" . The Ile-de-France is classified red (very difficult traffic) due in particular to "the increase in traffic on the A10 and A6 motorways" , two major axes towards the South-West and South-East.
