Choose what the next banknotes will look like

The SNB unveiled twelve designs for its future banknotes on Wednesday and invited the public to evaluate them online until September 7, before a final selection is made in early 2026.
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) unveiled the twelve proposals for the next series of banknotes on Wednesday and is inviting the public to share their opinions. From August 13 to September 7, 2025, everyone will be able to evaluate the proposals via a survey organized by a specialized institute, accessible at the website www.newbanknoteseries.ch .
The designs were created around the theme "Switzerland and its Altitudes." "We thank everyone who participated and proposed an artistic interpretation of this theme," the SNB states on its website.
Initially, the projects will be reviewed by the public and a committee of external experts. The six best entries will advance to the second phase of the competition, which will focus on feasibility and commercial aspects. The winning design will be selected by the SNB and announced in early 2026.
