Brittany: the region attracts more and more tourists

With the start of the summer holidays, certain destinations are gaining popularity. Among them, Brittany. Whether on land or at sea, the region is attracting more and more vacationers.
They chose the open sea. For the first day of the holidays , travelers who had just arrived had already taken to the sea to admire the landscape, the forts of Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine), but above all to escape the heat. "We're coming from the Basque Country, it's too hot," said one tourist. It even rained a few drops on the deck on Saturday, July 5. But that wasn't enough to discourage visitors from Val-d'Oise. "We're not looking for the sun, otherwise we would have gone to the south," they said.
Under the ramparts of the corsair city, the crowds are there: 12% of French people plan to come to Brittany this summer, after a mixed 2024. "There were the Olympic Games, there was the weather which wasn't always clement between July and August. But this time, it's rather favorable, we had an extraordinary month of June," assured Rozenn Enel-Rehel, communications manager for Saint-Malo and the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel.
