Women: the upcoming selection process

In this video, Professor Pablo Foncillas addresses corporate recruitment processes, where, despite a willingness to promote diversity, male profiles end up being prioritized. "Without malicious intent, but with Swiss regularity, a pattern is emerging that should be worrying," he comments.
One solution may be to leave selections in the hands of human resources departments rather than managers. This change has been shown to result in many more women being hired.
"The explanation isn't moralistic: it's mechanical. Human resources applies objective filters, reviews skills, and compares career paths. Managers, on the other hand, are often in a hurry, have biased experience, and have no time to think about unconscious biases," the researcher notes. The result is more uniformity, less real talent, and far fewer women.
