The Guanajuato government officially presented the calendar for the 2025 Harvest Festival , which will take place from August to October in six municipalities of the state, with an expected attendance of 12,000 and an estimated economic impact of 11.6 million pesos .

From Mexico City, Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo emphasized that these events help consolidate the state as a world-class wine and gastronomic destination : "Come to Guanajuato to experience wine; we welcome you with open arms."

Currently, the company produces 1.2 million bottles of wine annually from 2,000 tons of grapes grown in the region.

The 14 scheduled harvests are part of the Guanajuato Sí Sabe strategy, which integrates wine and gastronomy as axes of the state's tourism development, "we are the fourth largest producer of wine and fifth in wine grapes in Mexico," the quality of local wines was recognized with 24 medals at the 2024 Brussels World Competition , the second most awarded state in the country, explained María Guadalupe Robles León, state Secretary of Tourism.

"Guanajuato has captivated the wine world with its quality," said Carlos Borboa, Latin American director of the Brussels-based competition, adding that this success is based on coordination between the government and producers. As a sign of this recognition, the state will host International Sommelier Day in 2026.

The full calendar runs from August 9 to October 19 and will feature 42 restaurants , 24 boutique hotels , and 15 artisan workshops spread across the municipalities of San Felipe , León , Dolores Hidalgo , San Miguel de Allende , Comonfort , and Silao .

The events, which include vineyard experiences, seek to strengthen hotel occupancy and promote local consumption. "They bring together the hospitality of our people, culinary creativity, and a commitment to sustainable development," said Robles León, referring to these celebrations that articulate cultural identity and the regional economy.

65% of the expected attendees are domestic tourists, mainly from Bajío , Mexico City and Querétaro , while the remaining 35% are international visitors, especially from the United States, Canada and European countries.
