The calculation has two steps:
From Chilean pesos to dollars : divide the price in CLP by the Chilean dollar exchange rate. On this date, the selling price is 951 Chilean pesos per dollar .

From dollars to Argentine pesos : multiply the dollar amount by the official Argentine exchange rate. As of September 22, 2025, the dollar is valued at $1.515 ARS .
Example: 1,419.56 × 1,515 = $2,149,605 ARS .

How is it best to pay in Chile?With a credit card in dollars : the purchase is made in a single installment, and then the statement is paid with your own dollars (either deposited in your account or in cash at the bank). This avoids the 30% additional tax and ensures conversion at the official exchange rate.
With a dollar debit card : another option is to debit directly from a dollar savings account, always setting up your home banking to debit from that account.
In both cases, the official exchange rate is used, which represents a saving compared to other payment methods.
